01 Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Infercia ("Infercia", "we", "us") that governs your use of the Infercia mobile app, the Iris IELTS-preparation platform, and this website (together, the "Services"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
02 What Infercia is
Infercia helps people learn English in the dialect they actually speak. Our Services include:
- The Infercia app — everyday English learning with Amigo, an AI tutor that teaches, converses, and gives corrections framed in your own dialect.
- The Iris IELTS platform — focused preparation for the IELTS exam, with practice tasks and exam-style feedback.
Infercia is a learning tool. We help you improve your English, but we don't guarantee any particular result, grade, IELTS band, test outcome, visa, or admission. IELTS is administered by third parties and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Infercia.
03 Who can use Infercia
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Services with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. By using the Services you confirm you meet these requirements.
04 Your account
To use most features you'll create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date;
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share your account;
- Take responsibility for activity that happens under your account; and
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, at [email protected].
05 Subscriptions & billing
Infercia offers a free tier and paid subscriptions — currently Gold and Diamond (which additionally includes IELTS preparation on Iris). Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and in the app.
- Where you pay. Paid subscriptions are sold and processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Your purchase is also subject to that store's terms, and billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google — not directly by Infercia.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Refunds. Because subscriptions are purchased through the App Store or Google Play, refunds are governed solely by those stores' policies and are requested directly from Apple or Google. Infercia does not process payments and cannot issue store refunds directly.
- Price changes. We may change prices or plan features. If a change affects an active subscription, we'll give notice as required and it will apply from your next renewal.
- Free tier. The free tier may include limits (for example, a daily cap on lessons or conversations). We may adjust these limits over time.
06 Acceptable use
Please use the Services respectfully and lawfully. You agree not to:
- Break any applicable law or infringe anyone's rights;
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that aren't yours;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or try to extract our models, prompts, or source, except where the law expressly permits it;
- Resell, redistribute, or share access to the Services;
- Upload malware, or interfere with or overload the Services;
- Use the Services to generate unlawful, harmful, hateful, or abusive content, or to harass others.
07 Your content & our content
Your content. You keep ownership of the text, speech, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant Infercia a licence to host, process, and use Your Content as needed to operate and improve the Services — including sending it to the AI providers that power tutoring and feedback. How we handle this data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Our content. The Services — including the app, Iris, our software, design, and brand — are owned by Infercia and protected by intellectual-property laws. Your use of the paid Services is governed by our End User License Agreement. Except as those terms allow, you may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Services without our permission.
08 AI-generated feedback
Amigo and Iris use artificial intelligence. AI can be wrong, and its lessons, corrections, scores, and estimated IELTS bands are for learning and guidance only — they are not a guarantee of accuracy or of your performance on any official test. Always apply your own judgement, and don't rely on the Services for professional, legal, medical, or high-stakes decisions.
09 Availability & changes
We work to keep the Services running well, but we don't promise they'll be available without interruption, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Some features depend on third-party services that can change or become unavailable.
10 Ending your account
You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time — see our account-deletion guide. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Services in a way that could harm Infercia or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
11 Disclaimers & liability
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Infercia will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and you agree that the courts of Dubai, UAE will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you other rights.
12 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
